Speedy Fall Cleaning Challenge

Set your stopwatch! In just ten minutes a day, for seven days, you can have your home in shape for fall and the winter months ahead.

“De-smudge” leather couches and chairs

After a summer of hard use (from company to pets), leather couches and chairs are begging for a fall cleaning and shine. It’s so easy to pull out multitasking Pledge® Multi-Surface Wipes and go over leather furniture to help remove fingerprints, smudges, dirt, dust and pet dander. The wipes keep furniture less dusty longer and can help protect against stains and everyday wear. Use them to quickly clean and dust light wood and vinyl surfaces too.

Weed out your closet

If you don’t have time to reorganize your closets, at least check to see what you’re no longer wearing (wrong size, outdated style, etc.). Stash it in Ziploc® brand Big Bags and donate it to charity.

Speed up your shower cleaning

Give your shower a new lease on life by installing the Scrubbing Bubbles® Automatic Shower Cleaner. After the last shower of the day and while your shower is still wet, just touch a button to automatically clean your shower with a power sprayer that sprays cleaning formula 360 degrees. The cleaner helps eliminate buildup of soap scum and mould and mildew stains. It’s a great timesaver—no more heavy-duty shower scrubbing!

Change bed linens and rotate mattresses

Rotate your mattresses this fall (and every three months) to avoid sagging and permanent impressions from your body weight. (These days, you can buy a no-turn mattress, but rotation prolongs the life of most mattresses.) Now is also the time to launder all bedding: mattress pads, pillows, duvets, dust ruffles, blankets and comforters.

Fast-wipe windows

Don’t have time to do a full cleaning of windows? Windex® Multi-Task Wipes help you tackle smudges and smears fast on your mirrors and windows. Keep a package in the bathroom just for mirrors!
