As the cold winter has arrived, it's nice to create a joyful feeling in your home. If you're ready for a festive feel, one great way is with a gorgeous mantle or table decoration. Here's a great way for the whole family to bring some cheerful beauty into your home!
What you will need:
- Favourite festive fabric
- Fallen or cut branches
- Clementine oranges and cloves
- Pine cones
- Holiday balls and ornaments
- Rocks and acorns
On a sunny day, take the family for a crisp walk through a nearby park or forest. Find your favourite pine cones, twigs and other materials you would like to incorporate into your mantle decoration.
At home, lay the strip of fabric you've chosen on your mantle or table. A nice tartan or a piece of brown, red or green felt looks lovely. Place your objects on the fabric, starting with the larger items, such as the holiday balls and ornaments. Push the cloves into the skin of the orange to create a holiday decoration with a beautiful scent. For those ingredients that are perishable, consider laying down small circular pieces of plastic underneath.
